Hi Dave! Fomer Santa Cruz, here - 16 years, 86-02. My favorite Santa Cruz coffee shop was whatever evaluated to 'the nearest independent or local(ish) chain'. Stuck in San Rafael now, where the shops are not as numerous but they're there. Only one good one on my way to work in SF though. Definitely miss the coffee density of Santa Cruz.
