Starbucks - Iced Coffee in Grocery Stores

Starbucks Plans to Launch Iced Coffee,

Starbucks Corp., the world's largest specialty coffee retailer, on Wednesday said it plans to launch Starbucks Iced Coffee, a ready-to-drink product, in grocery stores and company-owned locations later this year.

The company plans to launch the iced coffee drink at its stores in late March, followed by grocery and convenience stores, which will sell regular and light varieties nationally starting in May.

But you still can't get a plain old iced coffee in Starbucks. They only have that weird concentrate stuff that they bill as "shaken". Bleah.

Peets wins on this score, too. They've always got iced coffee, even in the dead of winter. And most of they time, they have simple syrup out too, so you don't have to struggle with sugar crystals in a cold drink.

Try an iced Americano. They're wonderful.

That's the fallback. There are times that I'd rather just have a plain old iced coffee.
