What to do in Seattle?
Taking a break between jobs, I'll be traveling to Seattle this week for a coffee tour (Wednesday - Monday). I've been once before, but then I knew nothing about the coffee world and spent most of my time working at a public policy seminar. Now I know the obvious places to go -- Vivace, Victrola, and the newly Cloverfied Zoka -- but where else should I visit? And what about non-coffee stuff?
Sidetrips to Portland and possibly Vancouver are also likely. Stumptown, the Horse Brass Pub, and Caffe Artigiano would be on my list to of places to see, but what else should be there?

If you're right in downtown Seattle, hit Caffe Umbria and Zeitgeist in Pioneer Square.
If you end up in Fremont, the best coffee right now (among many selections) is at the Fremont Roastery, a little spot tucked into an alley about a block from the statue of Lenin (yes, real Soviet-era Lenin statue). Google "Lenin fremont" to see pics.

Also in Fremont, Lighthouse Roasters on Phinney and 43rd.
I was in Zoka last weekend and didn't notice the Clover. But I was looking for iced tea at that particular moment, anyway.
I'd also recommend a stop by any of the three Elysian brewpubs for great local beer (Elysian Tangletown is just a block west from Zoka and the new Elysian Fields is only a couple of blocks south of Cafe Umbria).
Also in Fremont, try Brouwers for an excellent selection of on-tap Belgian beers, plus lots of northwest beers and a handful of additional European beers. It's at 35th and Phinney.

Cool. Thanks, guys.
I may need those beers to settle down after all the espresso I'll be drinking.

Let's not forget about Caffe Vita on Capitol Hill now.
